On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, ISKCON Ranchi conducted a grand celebration and veneration program at CMPDI Rabindra Bhavan Kanke Road Ranchi.
This is the first time Janmashtami is celebrated at such a large scale in Ranchi.
The Occasion was graced by the presence of CMPDI Director, Mr. Manoj Kumar Other noted guests included CIP Director Dr Basudeb Das, Mayor Asha Lakda, MP Shri Sanjay Seth, Dr Padma Charan Behera, Dr K K Singh, Sri Govind Das.
The complete compound of Rabindra Bhawan was overwhelmed with more than 4500 devotees from Ranchi as well as nearby places. The devotees were gifted with transcendental experiences related with the appearance of Lord Krishna on earth.
The program started with melodious special Janmashtami kirtana for the devotees.It was followed by cultural event by ISKCON Ranchi’s Prahalad school's children, Congregation group devotees and Youth forum devotees.
It was thereafter followed by a session of special pastime stories of Krishna and his divine plays which offered high grade of moral values and courage.
As time advanced towards midnight, the maha abhishekam was performed with more than 51 ingredients at 10 pm which created an aura of transcendental synergy of the devotees.
In the last hour, a special quiz was held on lord Krishna to crown the devotees as" krishnabhakt".
As the clock struck 12, the devotees with huge rejoice chanted the lords name and mahaaarti started and everybody got the glimpse of krishna birth on Earth.
Mahaprasadam , the food offered to the lord was then distributed amongst the attendees and was overly enjoyed.
