"Every child is potentially the light, and with the right seeds sown into their consciousness, we can illuminate the whole world"

We @ISKCON Ranchi conducted a two week special, one of a kind summer camp for children between the ages 5-14, with an aim to weave the threads of spirituality via interesting and fun activities.

The program was carefully planned to imbibe moral and spiritual values in children by not just teaching them theoretically , but engaging them.

By the end of program, Children could recite Sanskrit Shlokas and Bhagvad Gita chapters which reflected in their personalities as intuition, awareness & compassion.

Other activities included:
1) Art & Craft where children learnt to draw 'Krishna'and crafted 'Bansuris'
2) Music & Singing where they were taught to sing melodious Bhajans and play instruments like Harmonium, Mridung & Krital.

The ever bubbly and effervescent children were taught to meditate on 'Hare Krishna Mahamantra' which will also help them to focus on their studies and perform better.

Going by the philosophy of "Jaisa Ann, Waisa Mann' the Prasadam was definitely one of the highlights of the summer camp, which was  relished by children whole heartedly. This helped them learn to eat together and develop gratitude for the food.

The summer camp was concluded with heart touching performances by the kids in form of Dance, Drama & Recitation. The festival was highly appreciated by all & sundry as the environment echoed with claps and love for the little ones!

We thank the parents and guardians for their amazing feedback about how their children have now developed an inclination for the divine and already miss coming to the summer camp!  

And as Srila Prabhupada says "Our children are the gift given by the mercy of the Lord, they are delicate take care of them with Love & Devotion, by giving them Krishna Consciousness" We hope to touch the lives of more children and spark their heart with joy & divine love in the upcoming years.
